Florida skydiving
Florida runs year-round, and that's the whole draw. Reliable weather and flat, open ground make it one of the easiest places in the country to jump, which is why people fly in from all over. Drop zones spread from Central Florida near Orlando out to the Gulf and Atlantic coasts, and the terrain (level, spacious, wide open), gives you clean sightlines to beaches, wetlands, and cities on the way down and forgiving landing areas at the end.
New jumpers get an easy entry through tandem. Harnessed to an instructor with only a short briefing behind you, all you have to do is fall and look around. Drop zones across the state run thorough pre-jump briefings and put safety first, and the mild air and gentle breezes Florida is known for tend to make the descent smooth, ending in a soft, instructor-managed landing.
