Wisconsin skydiving
Wisconsin gives a jumper a lot to look at. The southern and central country rolls out in farm fields and woodlots; to the east Lake Michigan draws a hard blue edge, and to the west the Mississippi River Valley cuts a broad trough through the bluffs. Drop zones sit near small airfields, usually a short drive from Milwaukee, Madison, or Green Bay, which puts a jump within reach whether you live in the state or are just passing through.
For newcomers, tandem is the front door. Drop zones across Wisconsin run these jumps with full ground instruction and a certified instructor strapped in behind you, so the freefall is secure without being complicated. What you see on the way down is unmistakably Wisconsin: dairy farms laid out in squares, glacial lakes catching the light, and the abrupt seam where town gives way to country.
