Ohio reads flat from the ground and layered from the air. From altitude you get farmland stitched together by winding rivers, distant skylines on the horizon, and, up north, the far blue edge of Lake Erie. The backdrop shifts field to field, which keeps things interesting for first tandems and veteran fun-jumpers alike.

The facilities here handle every level, from a first tandem to a full Accelerated Freefall (AFF) program for anyone chasing a solo card. Drop zones jump by the safety standards of the United States Parachute Association (USPA) and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), with certified instructors and well-kept gear. Most of them run as community hubs: a welcoming place where students learn, licensed jumpers sharpen up, events fill the calendar, and the camaraderie of the sport does the rest.
