The USPA A license is the milestone that makes you a self-supervising skydiver. To earn it you complete a minimum of 25 jumps, finish the A-license proficiency card, demonstrate packing your own main parachute, and pass a written exam. With an A license you can jump at drop zones around the world, participate in group freefall, and buy your own gear.
This is the credential most drop-zone search funnels point at: once you have it, you are a customer for gear, coaching, and fun jumps, and a candidate for the B, C, and D licenses that unlock night jumps, demos, and advanced disciplines.
